Fire Blazes Up a Scare

Worry wasn't the only thing drifting in the air as pieces of ash were swept onto the steamy roads of Mount Keira. As my sister and I were subconsciously aware of the burning smell being carried in through the windows with the strong breeze, it was mum would had a spot of anxiousness as the thick clouds crept closer towards the mountain. With a feeling in her gut and 5 minutes to spare, we gather our things and swooped up the cat, collectively fleeing from potentiality of a wild fire setting all hell loose on Earth.

Ironically, my sister whinges about her current priorities, claiming that her studies require more attention than the safety of her and our own lives, how her hunger outweighs the feather-like ash that floats with the breeze onto our streets, with the constant reminder of how strong the heat strung us this fluctuant Thursday.

Stuck to my side as if it were my own limb was not only a mere feline, but a strong companion, a member of this family that I could not bare to part with; no rain hail or shine till fire sets a flare on these grounds could relinquish the connection of energised passion that binds us as one.

The sun was giving off a golden glow; reflecting through the glass exterior of the house as we collected ourselves into the car; it repelled such a glow it was as though it were the flames looking down on us, ready to pounce if the wind tried to push its luck. But, the flames remained hiding behind the hill. We could not see them, but we knew they were there, as they gave off warning signals for us, we waited in suspense for its grand arrival. Though it proceeded to tease us with its leftovers of lunch; the ashes that were briskly blown onto our streets with the threatening wind, not once did it shut down our suspense with it's fiery stance.

As my sister persisted her whinges of hunger, we watched as the hunger of the flames grew; the more it devoured, the greater it's appetite grew. It was angry, growing with each push, like the Hulk when pushed a little too far, too far to handle, until pushed out of control.

We drove aimlessly, the contemplation of decisions, what road to take, whether we should venture back home to where we could be together in danger, or to run for the ocean where we'd be stripped bare of our possessions, all except one; life itself. As we ponder the choices we are left with in the squandering of ashes, we sink into our seats whilst the domineering, dull clouds overshadow us.

After the minutes were dragged behind the speeding clouds of debris, we returned to the safety of our own four walls where no flames touch. We returned into the slumber of day with a little tick inside us, reminding us, just quietly, that the blaze will remain lingering just over the hill, waiting, waiting for the right time...

~

Okay, seriously, disclosure point: that was highly exaggerated and dramatic, but I felt like vomiting up some metaphors. But seriously seriously, there were fire hazards today; numerous fires in Western Sydney, in Mittagong, further south and in Wilton, which was the one that appeared relatively close to my house. My mum got worried and to stay on the safe side we decided to pack ourselves into the car and drive to figure out where the fire was coming from and if it was dangerously close that would proceed to need an evacuation. Luckily, no it didn't. Although the visible fire was out of control temporarily, it wasn't close enough to be a hazard for us so we ventured back. It was cool finding bits of ash and black leaves though (although it's not a good thing) and I took several snaps; it was cool looking at the constant changing colour of the sky as the smoke took over.

The sun was unusually golden today, though at one point the sun was bright fluro red, it was very very odd, but it was so pretty, too bad I couldn't capture it on camera. Though I have provided some snaps; I have not tampered with the photo's, thought I'd leave them as is.

Well it was an interesting day! Glad to know that everyone was safe, and for those that are affected by the fires, I give them my best wishes!

Panorama Weekend

Hello! So it is Saturday afternoon and I am about to get started on my Marketing project. It has been a nice day actually, did a bit of shopping with mum, ate lunch and chatted outside on the balcony, soaking up the sun. Recent purchases! FINALLY, after waiting about 2 months my creepers arrived, as well as these white slip ons. Thankfully the fit, would've been devastated if they didn't after waiting so long for them. I also bought Charlie's juice! Have not had it in so long, and it was cheap too :) It is quite a quality juice!

Okay, this teacup, my pink leopard print cup, it's pretty much the only thing I will drink my tea out of. It's so fabulous.

Usually the camera quality of my phone isn't the best, but these photos turned out okay, especially the panorama, love this shot! It's the view from our place on the balcony, the best thing to wake up to in the mornings, and to watch the sunset in the evenings. I actually fell asleep out here the other day, the weather was that nice!

Anyway, I reaaallllly got to start my marketing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stay Awake.

Okay, so, I went to post this a few hours ago, but I fell asleep whilst uploading the photos and now I'm typing super slow as I'm typing sideways with one hand as I literally just woke up and haven't even moved. This sleeping state is probably reflecting my enthusiasm for unis return today. This is what I wore today (okay I have to sit up and type normally now even though I was super comfortable, was so slow, and my arm is now sore). Super dooper casual look, I'm wearing my new shorts that arrived last week. I was worried that they wouldn't fit (I hate buying shorts online) but OH MY GOD THEY FIT PERFECTLY. I was so excited when I tried them on and they fit like they were made for me, it's fantabulous.

Oh! I just remembered, I have to apologise to Sebastian FABULOUS Dallas for not including his middle name into the last post, he was not impressed with me. Also, classic quote from the other day that also has to be included. Dallas and I were having our classic morning phone conversation and I read him his horoscope "You will take on more responsibility that you can handle this week" His response: "Sooooo I should have...two girlfriends?" Yes, that is exactly what it means. Because he is Sebastian Fabulous Dallas.

Okay! Back to the post! These shoes I'm wearing, I got them for Christmas last year from my sister (I picked them out though, and thank you Tahnee) and I loooove them and I love the colour! Unfortunately, today would be only the second time I've worn them; the first time they were soooo sore. They're a small make and I sillily enough didn't try them on in General Pants Co. because I always just assume a size 6 will always fit me. So I've had newspaper stuffed in them for mooooonths and they expanded and now they fit! It is so fabulous!

AND! I've been waiting sooo long for my shoes to come in the mail; my creepers and a white chunky pair of slip ons, and they were delivered today, I can pick them up in two days from the post office. Yes! Finally! I hope they fit too, I pray. I've been waiting too long for them to not fit.

Anyway, I really want to go back to sleep. The only reason I'm awake now is because a friend called to get butter chicken for dinner. As much as my love for butter chicken is endless, I am in no state to be moving out of such a comfortable bed. It shall have to be postponed till later on in the week. So, I'm going back to sleep! Toodles!

Who needs friends when you can buy shoes.

So, a few random snaps today! I haven't really done anything this Wednesday except totally haul out all the stuff in my wardrobe, it's time for a well overdue clean out! So my room is currently a pig sty, but you have to create a mess to clean it up properly. As I cleaned my room, I had to find a new way to store my sunglasses, so obviously this idea was, ideal. Mum raved about to idea, but I can't take the credit, I would not have thought of that myself, thank you internet.

I took some snaps the other day when me and my best pal Sebastian went for a stroll on the beach one late afternoon. Was super chilled, always a pleasant time hanging out him (Ladies, form a line [join the already long line that wish to meet the famous Sebastian Dallas, though, you've probably already heard of him]). There has been the best sunsets lately, the weather has been really nice, yay summer on the way! But I can't believe it's already October, this is scary, actually freaking me out how quickly the year has gone.

And last but definitely not least, new shoes! I know I said I had 7 pairs lined up the other day, but I don't even care about those anymore because when I laid my eyes on these babies today, I fell in love, and could not believe they were on the biggest sale, and they were purchased immediately. Obviously, I had to leave a gift message for myself, saying how pretty and nice I was, Love from God. I was so stoked. I still am. They are beautiful, typical ad obviously a godly product of Jeffrey Campbell.

Anyway, I've had a super lazy day, literally sat on my bed doing nearly nothing at all, except by shoes. I should probably find something to do, uni goes back on Tuesday, and I did literally no uni work all week, which I am definitely going to regret next week. Ugh, anyway, I gotta bounce, toodles!

Tutu back in time

This photo is so technically incorrect, but I love it.

So I was going to start my essays today, but I decided to begin my massive cleaning project of my room. I was taken absolutely everything out from the top ginormous shelf of my wardrobe, and now my room looks like it should be on a hoarders TV show. But, on the way, I found my tutu from 4 years ago! Was tempted to try it on, so, off course, I did, and it still fit! Of course, this also meant, I had to go take a bunch of selfies, and whip out my tiara from my ballet days. It was difficult getting the snapshots in time with my poses when doing self-timer, so I had to go ask my sister for help, who is in the last picture. Thanks for taking my photos, butthead. For some reason though, the quality is a bit shot with these photos, may have been the lighting or the flash, I don't know, I'm no photographer, I just like to take selfies.

So, obviously, I used to dance, for 13 years, unfortunately once school ended and work and uni got in the way, I didn't make time for it anymore. I do miss it a lot though. Still have my many numbers of costumes and all my dance shoes. I really want to get back into it though.

Feels good to get started on cleaning my room, and sinces its a total pig sty, I can't stop now, gotta keep chugging through! So I better get back to it, toodles!

Bleach it back to life.

So, I dyed my hair! Yay, all by myself. I'd only bleached my hair once before, and I didn't know it was going to to get bleached at the time. Anyway, yesterday, I decided I would bleach it again, myself. Looked so different and weird with my hair completely bleached and blonde, though it sort of was a dodgy job, though it looked cool with random orange parts everywhere (where I didn't bleach the red entirely). I do have snaps but I decided not to upload any... So! This was the result of my hair, there actually was more red, and I was contemplating leaving the bleach at the ends buuutttt I added platinum blonde hair dye at the ends which ended up blending heaps with the red. I never care how my hair turns out, not fussed, I always love the outcome :)

So today was the day I went job hunting and my best pal Dallas came with me, which was meant for moral support in a way, (although he was dragging behind and distracted as he was texting whatever chicks were on the go today, typical) but it was good, I hope there is an outcome of new opportunities to arise in short time. This is actually what I wore today. Took me soooo long to decide on what to wear. Honestly, I was trying to go for respectable yet still edgy in a way, I mean, you got to entice the employees in a way. Would've preferably worn stockings with this skirt but it was way too hot, though I do always wear leopard print when I got job hunting, it always does the trick ;) I wore my lovely UNIF's, love them to pieces (hopefully they never fall to pieces no matter how much I wear them, please!)

Well hopefully everything turns out for the best! I still haven't begun on my uni work. Found out this my marketing project is in fact due in two weeks, not next week, so ooobviously I don't need to start it as soon as I expected ;) I better go though, halfway through season 3 Breaking Bad!
